Fresh from a huge UK and EU tour with Corella, including a night at Koko, Luna Bay has embarked on a headline tour supporting their third EP ‘Better’. The new project features singalong bops Better, You and Fox Glove, putting them on the indie hitmakers’ map.

Arriving at one of the capital’s best-known venues for new music, The Garage, Luna Bay showed the world where they planned to go. And it appears to be right at the top of the game.

Supported by After Drive and The Kind, who are both stellar new bands respectively, Luna Bay were in for a treat when they stepped out. Saturday night, blissful music and good vibes. Put the three together and they thrive, similar to The Academic or Vistas did when they were grinding to become indie heroes.

The rock quartet don’t even appear to be phased by the growing crowds each time a new tour comes along, comfortably interacting and grinning while playing their tunes. Despite having a shortened set, due to a club night, the band raced through a packed setlist of their small but growing catalogue.

To our surprise was an unprecedented number of mosh pits, which are always an exciting power for bands on the rise. Equally, there were moments which prompted hundreds to throw their phone torches in the sky, lighting up the room gorgeously.

As the nights draw in, hearing tracks like Better or Call The Night was a much-needed hit of euphoria for those who prefer beer garden and festival weather.

We hope to see Luna Bay playing Summer stages in 2025, those moments would be where these tracks truly shine.

Encore's song Hometown was the real highlight, invigorating the crowd in a different way to anything else. So much so, that the band held back singing and gave the crowd the spotlight. While reminiscent of Viola Beach, the single is a stellar example of keeping the indie torch alight for a new generation.

Luna Bay may be early on in their journey, but three EP’s deep and they’re starting to find their footing in the indie landscape. They’ve got the tunes, energy and stage presence. Charisma too, going for a pint with the crowd after the show. All they need now is a support tour with a few heroes and they’ll rocket to new heights.
