Weekly Roundup #61

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Ink Angel - In Crooked Wonderment

After their best single to date, the gothic-rock act of In Crooked Wonderment has returned with another offering of rock goodness. It’s truly a cinematic wonder, assisted by lyrical world-building. Tom Hewitt also features on this one, his work on keys adds another level next to the intricate guitar.

Michael (What’s Your Call?) - Keyside

The hotly-tipped and fast-rising Mersey four-piece immerse hard-hitting truths in glass-cut melody as they release their second EP. This is awesome jangle-pop, and one to keep an eye on.

Porcelain (Losing All My Patience) - Somebody’s Child

Ahead of Somebody’s Child’s hotly anticipated new album, due out 28th March, he’s dropped a final single. In another reflective and honest piece, the artist has created a beautiful emotive rock tune. Cian’s LCD Soundsystem and Kraftwerk are at the forefront, which is a theme we’re seeing throughout the wider record as well.

Under The Gaze - Magnolia

After their recent string of singles and shows in London, Magnolia have announced an EP due in May, supported by this huge tune Under The Gaze. Blending literary expression, chaotic energy and crashing musical influences, the band have created a sensational listen.

Namcy - Courting

Louder than ever, Courting are here with their incredible third record. Final single Namcy is a fine example of what can be achieved when a band lets loose with experimentation, while staying true to the wit, charm and fun that make them special.
