Weekly Roundup #66

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Turn It Around - RATS

What do you get when you mix hip-hop, reggae and indie-rock together? RATS’ latest single Turn It Around is an ambitious yet sensitive look at broken politics from Liverpool’s finest. It’s infectious, and so fresh. And the best part? This is only a taste of their long-awaited debut album, due on May 2nd.

Let Me Plunge - Benthos

The Italian quintet Benthos have just dropped their latest album From Nothing, focusing on themes of self-discovery and transcendence. The last single to drop, and one of their best is Let Me Plunge. It’s an energetic and intense journey of breaking free from inner turmoil, through the power of rock n’ roll.

Troubled Heart - Kendal Moody

Kendal Moody has been crafting songs since her childhood, and how 22, she’s more drawn to the magic of words than ever before. Eloquently blending alternative folk and Americana, she has arrived with Troubled Heart. You won’t believe it, but this is Moody’s official debut, and it’s an utterly captivating listen. She is one-to-watch for 2025.

Hounds - For Nina

Dublin’s own For Nina is quickly rising as one of Ireland’s most dynamic new bands, and Hounds might be their biggest statement yet. Packed with a blow-your-socks-off riff and blistering drums, Hounds is a stellar indie-rock tune, one that dares to be inventive as much as a homage to the greats. Fans of The Mysterines or Wolf Alice are going to welcome this trio with open arms.

Pine Tree - Selma French

Two minutes of treasure. That’s how Pine Tree has been described. Hearing her soft vocals and gentle plucks of the acoustic guitar feel like true bliss; freedom, happiness and serenity. This track is the third to fly the nest from her upcoming sophomore album No Sign Of Rotten Leaves due on 25th April.
