100%WET have returned with their sophomore single Ether, propelled by baggy breakbeats, acid-tinged basslines, and reverb-soaked shoegaze guitars.

The Copenhagen-based duo, Jakob Birch and Casper Munns, are re-shaping indie rock with a fresh new sound that blends shoegaze with 90’s drum and bass. In their words, it can be summarised as ‘hypergaze’, which captures their magical energy effortlessly.

Latest track Ether explores the the highs and lows felt in altered states, euphoria and detachment. Speaking on the creation of the track the duo explained:

“Ether was built from a loop on an analogue 303 synth known from 90’s acid house/rave culture. We gradually kept on adding, re-writing or removing different layers and sections throughout multiple iterations of the song. After we recorded vocals with Sanna (Eir), it became more clear to us that the song was asking us to embrace a more carefree or ‘over the top’ vibe that we also like from hyperpop, while still maintaining our love for loud and layered guitars.”

Having recently joining the live scene, the duo will play the UK in Spring 2025.
