Weekly Roundup #3

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

This is a huge week for new music, with The Last Dinner Party’s hotly-anticipated debut album dropping everywhere. And that’s not all.

Nothing Matters - Last Dinner Party

If you haven’t been fixated on the hype orbiting around The Last Dinner Party recently, then where have you been? This week, today, in fact, is the release of their debut. To celebrate, we gave Nothing Matters a spin one more time, before indulging in what’s new.

Nightmares - NewDad

NewDad unleashed their debut album into the world and the world’s been a little better ever since. We have a lot of good things to say about this record, namely the fact every song could be a single. One of our favourites right now is Nightmares. Review coming soon.

Oh No :: He Said What? - Nothing But Thieves

Storming into 2024, Nothing But Thieves is back, announcing Dead Club City (Deluxe Edition). ‘Oh No’ dresses up the 80s with a dance-rock spin. They never fail to make an entrance. Catch our review.

Boundaries - MYNK

One of our biggest discoveries this week is a London trio called MYNK, after hearing their live show at the Sebright Arms free event before Basht. The track is mesmerising and psychedelic, embarking on a transcending journey. Influences stem from Massive Attack, pop-noir and Primal Scream.

Theatre - Etta Marcus

If you’re a big fan of Lana Del Ray, Crawlers or Nessa Barrett then we’ve got a real treat. Introducing Etta Marcus, with her recent debut album. A standout is Theatre, a captivating narrative around desiring love.

Now, it’s your turn. Give it a spin, and tell us what you think on Insta or X.

See you next week!
