Weekly Roundup #4

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. This time spotlighting the return of Paramore.

Burning Down The House - Paramore

After completing their album contract with Atlantic Records, Paramore refreshed their socials and dropped a cover of Talking Heads’ Burning Down The House. Hopefully the song choice doesn’t reflect the relationship between artist and record label. On the bright side, this is a massive indication of a new Paramore on the horizon.

The End Of The Contender - Everything Everything

Everyone’s favourite Summer-indie band are back with another single, ahead of the new album ‘Mountainhead’. Thrilling, euphoric and experimental, this new direction takes what we love, and makes it even better. Lyrically, the playful nature that EE bring is in full force.

The Thrill Of It - Pixey

Pixey is still relatively new to the scene, and this single is just another example of why she’s one to watch. This track draws inspiration from a total mashup of artists (Beck, Taylor Swift, Fatboy Slim and The Neighbourhood). Give it a whirl, it’s an ear-worm, for good reason.

Jaded - Betcha

While not brand new (released in late 2023), we discovered Jaded last week through Spotify Radio. It combines elements from Bring Me The Horizon, Nothing But Thieves and Des Rocs. If you’re after a tune to 'bad-ass’ walk to, this should be your go to.

Cigarettes & Wine - Del Water Gap (ft. Holly Humberstone)

Ahead of embarking on a mammoth EU, UK and USA tour, Holly Humberstone features on Del Water Gap’s latest track Cigarettes & Wine. It’s not her first collaboration, recently appearing on Bombay Bicycle Club’s album. To put it simply, this is a collaboration we didn’t know we needed until now. Sad indie fans, will be smiling.

Now, it’s your turn. Give it a spin, and tell us what you think on Insta or X.

See you next week!
