Weekly Roundup #34

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup.

Great Imitator - Pomona

Taking inspiration predominantly from the ’90s and ’00s, Pomona has dropped their latest single Great Imitator. There’s a strong affinity here with The Vaccines or Courteneers. This is one that feels as familiar as it does fresh, and we think you’ll love it too.

Sunday Stitches - Daily J

After catching the New Zealand band Daily J at OMEARA in London recently, we have become fixated on their indie-pop workings. There’s no better time to get into the band, as Sunday Stitches is the perfect way to escape the darker nights that lie ahead.

you’re an actor - distraction4ever

It’s tricky to describe the experience of listening to this track, but levitating would be the closest way of doing so. As a post-punk outfit, this band are making waves fusing together the sounds of Joy Division with electro-pop. If you’re after something beautifully quirky, hit ‘play’.

M.I.A - Coupdekat

Coupdekat dropped her party anthem the other week, M.I.A., it’s a love letter to ‘messy and unpredictable nights out in London.’ The electronic fusing of genres reflects the big city nightlife perfectly and makes for an unpredictable and mind-blowing experience.

begin - Rosalind Anketell

Drawing on inspiration from AURORA, Maggie Rogers and Lorde, Rosalind has released begin. The vocals are incredible in this one, and for the time of year, this might be perfect for your Autumn mixes.

The young artist says the track is about ‘loneliness warring with pure possibility.’
