Weekly Roundup #46

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

People Watching - Sam Fender

The return of Sam Fender has been massive. Not only has he sold out an entire arena tour already, but he’s also launched dates for 2025 stadium dates. People Watching is our first introduction to his new era, and the influence from The War On Drugs in the studio has worked wonders.

FINNA KIN - Jess Allardice

Blending soulful vocals and introspective lyricism, Glasgow-based alt R&B artist Jess Allardice has dropped her debut single. FINNA KIN has the vocals and heart of Winehouse with the woozy production of Men I Trust or Biig Piig. We’ll be watching where she goes next closely.

Dalai Lama - Mole

Following his debut release, Dalai Lama explores similar themes of mental health, particularly detailing how medication isn’t always the answer. The rap-riser is a breath of fresh air, combining exciting rap with infectious beats. In recent months, he’s garnered support from BBC Introducing, ready for something big.

Tattoo - Indigo Apartment

After covering Indigo Apartment’s previous single Shake The Handle, the indie band is back with Tattoo. Following the winning early 00’s indie-rock formula, Tattoo is ‘the most important song’ they have ever written, and ‘showcases a journey of happy discovery to realisation’.

Witch Finder - Bash!

London-based Bash! has dropped their new EP, preaching emotional liberation from the rooftops. While only forming in 2018, Bash! is already building a fan-base around their addictive electronic and quirky take on indie pop. One of our favourites is Witch Finder. That chorus is an unbelievable ear-worm.
