Rising stars Goo are gearing up to release their latest single Tiny Dinosaur That Only I Can See this Friday alongside supporting singles Miso and Underground Or Overseas.

Similarly to You’re In Mono, which we praised in May, the single comes with a 7” inch vinyl. We enjoyed the concept and sound so much, we purchased a copy for our vinyl collection.

Goo’s latest track is a power-pop anthem and is a tribute to the lead vocalist’s childhood friend, who sadly died of suicide at just 27 years old.

“Through the lyrics, I reminisced about the innocent and carefree things we did together as children, which are in stark contrast to the seriousness and tragic reality of her passing. I wanted to write a song to both immortalise her memory and our friendship.” Tanisha explains.

The band have also taken noticeable inspiration from The Ramones and Joy Division sonically. One thing’s for sure, this single will stack up nicely on live stages. Elsewhere, the b-sides dip into the likes of shoegaze, Miso again being a standout deep-cut. This is the second time the rock-outfit have hidden impressive tracks behind another single.

You can catch Goo on a 9-date tour dubbed ‘Tiny Dinotour’ to support the release.
